3. SURFACE CONDITIONS CHANGE
Know and understand that surface snow conditions are constantly changing and you must know and understand how these changing conditions affect the ATML of each feature. These changing conditions cause the difficulty level of each Feature to vary throughout the day. 4. WAIT FOR PEOPLE DOWNHILL OF YOU
You must give right of way to the people who are downhill of you – even if you can’t see them. As per Washington Law, you are PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for injury caused by collision. 5. ONLY ONE PERON AT A TIME MAY USE A FEATURE 6. WAIT UNTIL THE FEATURE IS CLEARWait until the person ahead of you on a Feature has landed and SAFELY moved completely out of the Blind Zone. As per Washington Law, you are PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for injury caused by collision. 7. USE A SPOTTER It is recommended you ride with a spotter who ensures the Blind Zone is completely clear of people and equipment before signaling the Feature is clear for your use. 8. IF THE BLIND ZONE IS NOT CLEAR, GIVE A “NOT CLEAR” SIGNAL:
If there are people or equipment in the Blind Zone, signal the feature is NOT clear for use by using placing your arms in the the X signal position. When a Blind Zone is clear, you may give the “clear” signal by placing both your arms in the vertical ll positon above your head.
9. YOU MUST BLOCK THE APPROACH ZONE IF: There is equipment or a person which can not be quickly moved from the Blind Zone. Block with any available apparatus.
10. CALL YOUR DROP IN & START FROM START AREAS
Call your drop in and yield as appropriate as per WA Law and Your Responsibiliy Code.
